About the Project

Developed a mobile application for detecting rice diseases using AI as part of Bangkit Academy's Cloud Computing cohort. The application uses a machine learning model to identify rice diseases from uploaded images and provide detection results through a mobile interface.

During the Bangkit program, I focused on the cloud side of the project by deploying the machine learning model and setting up the required infrastructure on Google Cloud Platform. This included configuring Cloud Storage, Cloud Functions, and AI-related services to support scalable processing and real-time disease detection.

After completing the Bangkit program, I continued developing the project independently by building the mobile application and redesigning the interface. I used this opportunity to explore the project beyond my original Cloud Computing role and gain more hands-on experience in mobile development and UI implementation.

My Role

I worked on this project primarily as part of the Cloud Computing team during Bangkit Academy. My responsibilities included deploying the machine learning model, configuring cloud services, and connecting the cloud infrastructure with the application.

After the program ended, I continued the project independently by developing the mobile application and redesigning the user interface.

What I Learned

This project gave me hands-on experience in deploying machine learning solutions to the cloud and integrating them with a mobile application. I learned how cloud infrastructure supports AI-based applications, how different services communicate within an end-to-end system, and how to continue developing a project beyond my original role. Building and redesigning the mobile application after the Bangkit program also helped me expand my experience in mobile development and UI implementation.
